Hey, Does anyone know the approximate weight of a CD in its case. Sorry for the silly question but I can't find any scales. :p

Thanks in advance.

It will go by a first class stamp no problem. If thats what you wanted it for?

I think I need to send it by "Recorded Delivery" so I think it depends on the weight, I'm not entirely sure though.

A DVD (with case) in a jiffy bag costs about £1.50 to send 1st class Recorded, so my guess is the CD will be around that price, if not a little less.

That sounds about right, IIRC a DVD with small booklet (4-8 pages), in a jiffy costs about 72p to send first class, a CD won't weigh much less (I would guess about £1.30-1.50 recorded).

Don't send a CD/DVD in a jiffy with just a first class stamp, the recipient will not be amused to get hit by a charge of about £1.40 ;)

Take it to the post office and tell em you want it sending via recorded delivery... they'll weight it and tell you exactly how much it is. Saves trying to work it out yourself :)
