Hey guys,

I apologise for adding to the multitude of gym threads already in here but it's quite a unique (if not random) question. Are there any body builders in south manchester that can reccomend me a good (and preferably not too hard on the wallet) gym?

I basically want to get my bodyfat down a bit which i can do outside of the gym, but mainly to bulk up. In the past 9 months or so i have increased quite a lot in size (put on roughly 1.5 stone) without much extra fat at all, just from purely doing pressups in my own home. I think this is probably due to my age (just naturally filling out) and also because i most likely wasnt eating enough, as until around july i was playing at the highest level of basketball for my age in the country, and the training regimes were pretty hard cardio wise but absolutely no weight training strangely enough.

One problem I'm having is finding a) a gym with the right kind of atmosphere, I'm guessing a small dedicated body building gym rather than the fitness-orientated gyms i have tried so far, and also b) finding a workout partner for the motivation.

Been meaning to start doing it properly for a while but all the threads in here (not really ventured into here much until recently) have spurred me on a bit.

Here are two pictures of me to show the kind of size ive changed, both wearing the same shirt: (i am just under 6'4 and just under 15 stone)

Sorry for the rambling, wasn't quite sure how to ask the questions...

So anyone know of any good enthusiast gyms in South Manchester, or perhaps even better anyone with either some experience or the same goals as me in south manchester? To give a general idea of where I am, i can pretty much see the trafford centre from where I am sat.

Any advice would be welcome though :)

Cheers

Tom.

Wouldnt know any down north sorry but you look better in the 2nd pic, and damn staying fit isnt cheap is it -.-

well a slight update on the situation, i've phoned up my old coach and will start training with my old team again which should give me a good boost on the cardio side as long as I can keep my diet up enough that i wont lose muscle mass.

I am looking for just general advice as well, not just things specific to manchester, so all you gurus fire away :)

Tom.
