I recently got a 2nd Gigabyte 7970
and I've been happy about the xfire performance in BF3 1080p and eyefinity. I was playing around earlier because I felt that once my frames wen't below 50fps it actually felt like they were about 20-25 fps it was so......choppy? (if that's the word to describe it). So i disabled xfire and sure enough the 30fps i was getting with a single card was definitely twice as smooth as 2 cards at >45 fps.
Now this is my first pc so obviously my 1st time xfiring cards aswell, but surely this is not the microstutter associated with xfire because in 1080p although my cards were at >~70% usage it was still giving me >100 fps and would go up to 99% usage each in explosions with practically no screen tearing.
Sorry for the long post but I felt it was necessary to explain. My main question is is this an xfire/bf3/eyefinity bug or does it seem like something on my behalf? Atm it's so noticeable i'd nearly disable xfire for eyefinity which i obv don't want to do!
