Weird AMD driver conflict with Firefox.

Just installed the latest official drivers from AMD's website this afternoon (12.2). However, when using Firefox (version 11) anytime I load a webpage, minimize the window or even open a new tab, my clocks and voltages increase to their 3d mode (7970) so go from 300MHz/ [email protected] to 1125MHz/ [email protected].

As you can guess this is playing havoc with my temps. Does anybody else see the same behavior using the same driver and browser? Although not a huge problem I don't exactly want the card fluctuating its voltage as often as anytime I refresh a webpage as it can't be doing the card any good.

I was running Firefox 10.x earlier when I first noticed it but upgraded to version 11. Problem is still occurring though. It has only started since I installed 12.2's this afternoon.

HELP!!!

Hmmm seem to have sorted it. Just disabled overdrive in CCC and all is working fine. Even seems to be working now that I have re-enabled overdrive. Hardware/ software/ driver conflicts are strange at times haha!
