Weird artifacting

Hi guys,
occasionally when running a full screen windows 8 metro app, or sometimes running a youtube video fullscreen in Chrome, I get weird artifacts on the screen like in the attached image.

Any idea what this could be and how to fix it?

Thanks for any help!

Does it happen with all videos, or just Netflix? Netflix, if I remember right, uses MS Silverlight, whereas other sites use Flash. Try uninstalling and reinstalling both applications, make sure your video drivers are up to date and, if still no good, try a different web browser.

It doesn't actually happen when it's playing the video in the Netflix metro app, only when I'm navigating the interface. The exact same artifact appears in the 4OD metro app in windows 8, but the video plays fine without any artifacts. Youtube videos play without any artifacts too.

I have tried reinstalling graphics drivers but hasn't made a difference. Any idea what it could be? Want to be sure its not a software issue before sending the laptop in for repair, I guess it could be hardware?
