Weird boot problem... Egg heads this way please!

Windows Vista HP 32bit
HP DV2000 laptop

Switch laptop on starts loading with those things going across the bottom, about 20 secs into loading a blink and you will miss it BSOD and then it goes to reboot.

You then get the screen of course saying about windows did not load properly safe mode, normal etc etc etc.

Just press Start up Normal and it goes into Desktop without a hitch.

Installed anything recently? Are all drivers up to date?

its a fresh install of vista. Just realised that service pack 1 is not installed so im just installing that. I would not of thought it would be this though.

Try booting into safe mode and then retry normal mode.. This has saved me on many occasions. I cant always vouch for why...but it does

Well bust my buffers. Looks like service pack 1 has done the trick!
