Hi all,
I'm hoping somone might be able to shed some light on my problem. Every thing was working fine even when i had replaced my old 8800GT with the 470. After two or so weeks using the 470 i fitted a waterblock to it and even then everything remained normal for a week.
But now everytime i start the pc when it has been powered down for a length of time i am greeted by just a black screen. The light on the monitor changes from orange to blue (i.e Standby to on) but there is no image on the display. If left you can hear the system make it all the way onto the desktop and even hear the boot sound through the speakers.
If you shut it down from here and start it again it's back to normal you can see the POST screen and can see the computer booting into windows no problem and from there the system works fine.
I've not really tried anything as im pretty stumped with whats wrong. The only thing i have done is to remove the overclock on the graphics card but that wasnt the solution.Could it be possibly something to do with the 470 not liking a cold boot?
My full spec is:
Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz
ASUS P5Q-Pro
GTX470 - MSI - with EK470FC Block
4GB DDR 2 OCz Reaper (2x2Gb)
Cosair 750TX
Anyone have any ideas?
