I recently overclocked my new rig thus:
Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz
vcore 1.31v
RAM 667Mhz
Timings 4:4:4:12
RAM voltage Auto.
Everything runs stable and cool with prime95, intel burn test....the usual. No probs there.
The problem occurs when i boot up. The system starts for 2 secs - lights on fans on etc - , then everything goes off completely for about 4 seconds, then it all comes back on and starts normally... My immediate thought was PSU (i have a Tagan 530w-u22) Am i uderpowered for my overclock? according to ASUS PSU calculator i should be ok....but what do they know ay? Any ideas?
NB: problem dissolves if i revert to stock settings....And itstill occurs if i up the voltage to 1.4/1.45v with my current OC.
TIA
