Weird clicking shutting down noise?!

Hi guys over the last few months i have noticed a strange sound my pc keeps making every 30 minutes or so! Something in the tower clicks followed by a shutting down noise if you know what i mean? Like the same noise you get when you shut down certain computers!

The problem doesn't seem to have affected anything as far as i can tell, but do you guys have any idea what it could be?

Running vista by any chance? Does it sound like the HDD powering down, Vista has it so they power down after ~30mins of innactivity? As that is most likely what it is. You can change it in the settings, can't remember off the top of my head where but google will know.

how manny hdd's have you got, and how have you got them connected.
i had same problem and im running vista it turned out to be two ide drives that didnt want to be on the same cable.
