Weird connection problem! Help

I have a 8mb dsl line and my main pc and laptop both connectvia wifi.

i can be on my main pc and randomly it will lose net access but still be connected to my router locally. when this happens i can still access the net via the laptop. Can somebody please explain what is going on.

I have to disconnect from my router and reconnect to get net acess back.
the signal strength is 100% on both laptop and main pc. Dsl has excellent stats.

adapter is Belkin F5D7000UK 54Mbps Wireless Desktop PCI Network Adapter

and i am on vista32
 
windows taskbar icon says connected I will try to ping router next time, it just happend :( so don't know how long till next time maybe another hour or so .

pinged www.bbc.co.uk = no response
 
i cant ping router either .

wifi apdater says not compatible with vista , although vista does work with it. could that be it if so recommend me an adapter please.
