Weird connection speeds

We've been on the BT option 3 8mbps service now for a month or two with no issues and lately (the last few days to a week) the connection has slowed to a crawl:

Am just wondering what could be causing this? I've checked the router and all the settings seem correct but here are the line details just in case:

It's a BT Homehub 2.0 and I know the CRC up errors are a firmware issue.

Run the BT Speedtest (instructions in sticky). It'll give your IP profile, and that's possibly what's restricting your throughput.

The other options are that Speedtest.net is crap and BT Retail pretty aggressively traffic shape.

I tried to run it yesterday and again today and am just getting the following:

I was able to run it and get something along the lines of 8mbps just recently ... so something has changed somewhere or I'm doing something wrong ...

Am going to leave it another day and see if things correct themselves and if not will call BT and get an answer as this is stupid - I'm getting 40KB/s off Steam when I should be getting 840 odd!
