Ok heres the issue all software runs fine can play wow for 8 hours everquest pray etc

When I try to prime it what happens is after 20mins to 3 hours the pc will lock up and crazy sounds come out of the speakers like the sound u used to get when loading games on the old speccy

I have tryed it overclocked and at stock same issue was wondering if anyone else has had this before

Specs are LP Expert, 4800+ x2 2x1gb Mushkin hp3200 2x 7800gts in sli noisetaker 600watt cooled with a tt120

I have tryed rebuilding it tryed just using each gfx card on its own always the same

Any in sight would be great as im stummped

Have you checked the voltages of the RAM? They should be running at 2.7 or 2.75 volts providing they are running at stock timings/speed.

It might also be worth running memtest86+ as well, just to elminate RAM issues.

yeah checked it running 2.7 when clocked i run a divider so they stay stock timings etc ill up it too 2.75 think they rated too 2.8 and run afew hours of memtest

I think your next port of call is to check the system temps, try running a motherboard monitor to keep a track of what's going on and that your temp limits aren't being exceeded.

At the same time, check to make sure the PSU rails are within the correct tolerance.

yeah volts look spot on temp on both cores under full load on core temp never break 55, thats at 2.8 1.4v and less than 50 each at stock same issues at both settings

I would be tempted to try a different PSU if you can get your hands on one. just to be sure. Do you have both power connectors connected to mobo?

Have you checked the H/Ds...?

yeah all 3 of the power connectors are on there, I was thinking psu gonna run out and get a cousair one this afternoon i think i need a second good psu anyways so its no bother

hmmm havent checked the h/ds could try that next i upped *** volts slighly on ram gonna check that first if it keeps on ill nip and get a new psu and h/d

run a full scan disk first ;)

Also, check if there is a diagnostic tool on the H/D manufacturers website. I've had 3 disks go in as many years. !!! If the tool reports an error then you may be able to get a replacement providing it's still in warrantee.
