Weird disappearing mouse pointer problem

Hi,
am having difficulty figuring out whats is wrong with my mouse pointer. My PC crashed so I restarted it and now my mous epointer disappears after a few minutes. The only way to make it visible is to enable mouse pointer trails. I tried another wired MS mouse but it still doesn't work properly. My mouse btw is Logitech MX 1000.

Try placing it in a PS/2 port using a converter just to see what happens?

Hi,

Re-install your GPU driver. I can't see it being the mouse driver.
