I can't get any output through DVI on my dell 2405fpw..

This all started a couple of weeks back when I indulged myself in a bit of overclocking, overcooked it a bit and the pc crashed. It came back on with no display, I figured I'd knackered the bios so I reset it, again booting but no video..

So I tried a new motherboard, again, no video.. I eventually decided to try the vga port on my monitor and presto! Its working!

So I assumed it must be the cable, bought a new dvo cable.. still no DVI.

This has now been tested with 2 7900gtx cards and an x300se, all no DVI signal being received by the monitor..

Is the monitor stuffed?

Providing the input is set to 2, then I would say as changed motherboard and graphics card and cable then the DVI interface has broke.

Is the input manually on 2. I found I had to manually select the input. As you say the VGA works then wondering if the input is on number 1.

Well if you're asking have I selected the right input then yes, I definitely have. I often cycle through these anyway as I have my 360 into the component so I know what I'm doing there.

So frustrating.. tempted to go and buy another monitor just to see if it works with dvi!
