weird fan speeds

hi guys,

I noticed my CPU temp was higher than normal so took a look at speed fan,
It said my artic freezer 7 pro was running at 406 RPM, its ment to be 900 to 2500RPM, After a reboot the fan speed returned to 2500 and stayed there,
Any one else had this problem? can't work out what Made it slow down.

If you have the Automatic Fan Speed box ticked in speedfan, that may have caused it. Either that or speedfan was reporting the speed wrong.

Cool and quiet enabled?? (or whatever the equivalent is on intel setups?)

The Speedfan auto box was not ticked and I think it was reporting the correct speed as the cpu temp was 46C on idle, After the reboot and the fan returning to 2500rpm the CPu temp was 22c at idle. Something else must have turned the speed down?

Cool and quite is off in the bios and all other fan settings are set to performance so the fans should be at full speed.

I am going to run the same programmes I had on yesturday to see if it does it again. :confused:
