Weird Fault

been getting this for the past 10 hours

[15:13:37] + Attempting to get work packet
[15:13:37] - Connecting to assignment server
[15:13:38] - Successful: assigned to (0.0.0.0).
[15:13:38] + News From Folding@Home: Welcome to Folding@Home
[15:13:38] Work Unit has an invalid address.
[15:13:38] - Error: Attempt #7 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry.
[15:19:04] + Attempting to get work packet
[15:19:04] - Connecting to assignment server
[15:19:05] - Successful: assigned to (0.0.0.0).

i tried restarting the program but still comes up

i am using a linksys router is there any ports that must be opened??

also i know it connects to the internet as it is the machine i am posting on

Is this the GUI version or the no-nonsense text console?

Have you told it to get work without deadlines - if so set that to no as there is no deadlineless work and the client will keep asking for it.

Also have you told it to use IE connection settings? If so set that to no as microsoft updates a while ago stopped that working properly.

its the GUI version but will probs be switching over to the no crap text console in june

i got work unit set to no prefrence and unticked use IE connection settings and still nothing

It might simply be an issue with getting a connection to the Stanford server. Give it time or try a restart to see if it gets things going again.

Thing is i left it for 3 hours and when i remoted desktoped to that pc it was 10% through a new Unit Oo
so got no idea why

so far its working for how long no idea

I get that sometimes, most it ever timed out was 12 times. Sometimes just takes a while.
