Hi guys

Having a bit of a problem with one of the computers at work. It has an Administrator and a User account set up on it. When I log on to the Administrator account and use google it works fine. I log off and try the user's account and they are totally unable to search google.

I've done all the usual, AVG scan, Malware scan, updates, looked at the LMHOSTS file and all the other things you would probably look at... but can't seen to get it fixed! It's only annoying me because the Customer Services girls keep going on about it in my ear :(

If anyone could think of anything to try, I would be very grateful! :)

reset it back to default settings

command prompt can you ping www.intel.com

if you make the user a machine / domain admin for a quick test does wither fix the issue?

disable windows firewall / any other firewall

make sure no proxt server is being set in ie or if you use a proxy make sure the settings are correct

Thanks for these responses. The other IT guy tried a few things, but he didn't record what. I'll give these a try later on :)

I don't think it does, actually can't remember. Played a lot of BF3 since then... :D

Will go have a look soon and give what you have said a try. It's weird that it works on the Administrator account and not the User!
