Hello all, having a massive problem with my windows resolution/monitor atm.

Basically i have a 24 inch Yuraku monitor running through DVI to my PC at 1920x1200. Everything was fine and dandy until this morning.

I came to turn the machine on and nothing fired up on the screen as normal. Weird so i turned it off and turned it back on, same again. Tried flicking between the DVI and VGA input on the monitor to see if it fired up but nothing again!

So I tried changing to a VGA cable to see if i could get any action and sure enough the screen fires up however it is displaying the desktop in a very strange way. The resolution is still set to 1920x1200 but i now somehow have a 'scrolling' desktop, i.e. there is more on the screen than what is showing on the monitor and i can scroll to other parts of the screen which obviously shouldnt be happening. I should have it all displaying on the screen.

The only way I can get the monitor to fit everything on the screen without having to scroll across to see the rest is setting it to 1440x900.

Ive also noticed that when on the monitors OSD menus it is showing the res as 1440x900 no matter what resolution it is displaying, which it shouldn't be doing!!!! I've updated the gfx to the latest Catalyst drivers but this didnt help, and I cant find any Yuraku drivers online at all!

Is there some limitation on what resolution can be displayed through a VGA cable? I don't have another graphics card to test with as I thought maybe the card had gone kaput but the card still works as it is displaying through VGA. And I don't have another DVI cable in case that has gone faulty!

Does anyone have any ideas as its quite grim having to work at 1440x900 on a 1920x1200 monitor. Its been doing my head in why its done that, and I can't for the life of me think why. I've even done a system restore thinking it might help but it hasnt!
