Weird IP camera action

Have just got a new IP camera for my home and am having some issues with it.

I can control the camera fine form the local network and video is sharp and of the expected frame rate (30fps @1280x720 h.264)

When I try to view this on my tab via a IP camera viewer, the connection is very intermittent. I am using Net Eye Camera Viewer and that shows status of connection as either green or red text. This is constantly changing between the two.

I first thought it might be that the camera was connected to the router via a powerline adaptor, but am getting the same symptoms when using wireless.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing the issues?

BTW am using a Billion 7800n with 1334/18889 kbps sync shown on stats.

Cheers

Is the tablet on the LAN or accessing the feed via remote access?

If your image quality is fine on the LAN, it implies that the issue could be the app and how it renders the stream.

Try a different app.

Am using the tab to access the feed that is being sent onto the internet.

Have tried 2 different apps and they are showing similar issues (Neteye is showing green red as described and tinycam monitor shows a flashing image)
