Weird iPhone4 battery issue.

Morning all,

I'm experiencing a really weird issue with my iPhone 4 battery which has only started happening over the last week and a half.

Basically every night I put my iPhone on charge via the Mains adapter that was provided. Usually this charges the battery to 100% over the course of the night, and when I unplug it, it'll sit at 100% until I start using it properly (as expected).

Recently however, I leave it on charge overnight and when I wake up, it'll sit on 91%, then when I use it, it'll drop to 90%, and then again go back to 91% . It doesn't do this all the time however, it'll do it probably 2-3 times a week which is really strange!

Yesterday when I plugged it in, it was sitting at 18% so I plugged it in whilst I was using it. Within 5 minutes the battery had jumped to 24% which seems to be charging a little too quickly.

Has anyone experienced anything like this at all? Or even have any idea's what I could do to fix it.

EDIT: Oh, and I've just checked my Usage information and the times since last charge are blank :S

Hmm, I would try a hard reset and letting the battery drain right down... then recharge fully.

I've tried that as a precautionary measure minus flattening the battery, but I'll give that a shot tonight.

I've spoken with Apple support today though, they've booked me in to visit the Apple store in the Bull Ring to hopefully get it resolved. I reckon they'll plug it in, get it past 91% and give it back to me though.
