Weird issue after new build

So, with a lot of advice from lovely people on here, I built my new rig a few weeks ago and I’ve been very happy with it. It has worked perfectly - apart from yesterday.

Yesterday I left the PC running for a few hours whilst I did something else. When I came back, it had gone into standby (fair enough). When I tried to wake it up, I couldn’t at first. Then it did reboot into Windows, but with a blue backdrop (not the usual Windows pictures) and I couldn’t use the keyboard to enter my passcode.

I experimented and found that two of the USB sockets on the motherboard weren’t working, which was why the keyboard didn’t work (or my headset which was plugged into it). I opened up the case and checked all of the connections, which were all fine of course (this was a socket on the MB after all).

I left it for a bit and came back. When I did, the sockets worked again and everything is fine. I went into the BIOS and confirmed the MB recognises devices plugged into all of the USB sockets.

I’m now paranoid as I’m wondering if I might have done something wrong, but I can’t see what? The MB is an ASUS TUF B850.

Is this just a quirk or should I be concerned?

Waking from sleep is often dodgy, so I wouldn't worry too much for now.

Which USB ports didn't work?

Is the BIOS up to date? Could also try disconnecting one device at a time to see which one is the culprit if it’s related to one of the devices…
