Weird issue with new build

I just got that promo bundle with the X370 Gaming K7 and 2700X.

Working OK so far - except when I restart the PC after it being off for any length of time, the whole thing completely resets! As in, bios is back to default, memory speeds back to 2400mhz instead of 3000mhz.

The other thing is that I have 6 x fans connected straight to the PSU via 2 sata-powered fan controllers...but these are also going full whack when I turn the PC on after any period.

If just restart the PC, this doesn't happen - only a 'cold boot' when I'm gone for the day and turn it on upon my return.

So I've no idea where the fault lies - with the PSU? It's a Seasonic M12II-620. It seems the only logical explanation given that the fan controllers are also affected and they're not connected to the mobo.

Driving me mad after two days, I have to leave the side of the case off as I have to manually turn down the fan speeds using the controller....and manually set my bios settings every bloody time I boot up.

Why is everything resetting....? Any advice appreciated.

For the BIOS I would have suggested you've left the jumper on reset, or perhaps dead battery plus turning off at the wall. But that second idea is unlikely with a new board.

But the fan controllers too, that is confusing. Surely the fan controllers lose all power if the PC shuts down? So they just be storing settings internally.

What happens if you shut down and restart? How about if you shut down and power cycle at the wall?

Did the fan controllers ever remember their settings?

Actually, I think it is just coincidence with the fans.

They're Auras 12 RGB 3-pair set, by 2. But I've already found people on YouTube with the exact same problem - fans go 100% speed everytime you start the PC. Now, this is a massive pain, as it means I have to manually turn them down every time by taking the side off my case.

But, it does seem a common issue and not necessarily linked to my board problem.

So perhaps it really is as simple as a dead CR2032 battery. I'll try replace that tomorrow and see what's what.

Raging about the fans though. Just bought them and already thinking of chucking them out and getting others.

Fast boot turned off ? Could be failing memory training ?
Up mem volts to 1.35/4 and have a loot if it does it from normal power down and power up, and the. A cold boot
