Weird keyboard boot problem

The past couple of days i've booted my PC up after work and it has a spasm making the USB disconnect sound over and over and I noticed my keyboard wasn't working when I opened google to type.

I unplug the keyboard and plug it back in, no problems works fine but it seems to not register properly on boot, anyone know what might be causing this?

Everything up to date, all drivers installed etc. Spec in sig

You forgot the important info - which keyboard you have!

Tried a different port? USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?

Oh yeah. As its nothing special I didn't think of that. It's one of them CM storm bundle ones. USB 2, it doesn't work in 3. This mother board only has two USB 2 and I've swapped them over and it still does it
