Weird keyboard issue

So tonight I booted up Dark Souls and started playing that for a bit with my X360 pad. After a little while I go to Alt-Tab only for it to not work. The only way I managed to get back to the desktop was by quitting the game. I then opened Firefox to do what I intended when I noticed that pressing 'W' caused a small string of other letters and a '4' to appear.

Anyway, typing using the on-screen keyboard is doing my nut in now, but suffice to say that my Razer Lycosa is acting most peculiarly when barely an hour-and-a-half ago it was functioning correctly (other keys are currently not working, albeit some still do without issue; it appears only 'W' is causing strange inputs).

I actually doubt anyone will be able to fix my issue (and yes I have rebooted, unplugged the keyboard, and tried another USB port) considering the suddenness of the problem and strange happenings, but you never know.

I am actually planning to get a SteelSeries 6Gv2... Could this be some sort of sign telling me to order one in the morning (assuming my problem doesn't fix itself by then)? :p

Did you try the keyboard on another machine? Did you try a different keyboard on your machine?

That is surely the next thing to try. That way you will know if the problem follows the keyboard.

I did actually try a really old PS/2 keyboard in my PC, but it didn't work or my mobo's PS/2 port doesn't work. Because it got quite late trying to figure the problem out last night, I never got around to trying my keyboard in another PC, but this morning I did and it seems to not be functioning at all despite the Num Pad LED turning on (this is also the same when plugged into my PC, so it seems it has gotten worse over night).

Looks like I'm getting a 6Gv2 a bit sooner than planned...
