Weird Keyboard & Mouse problem

I'm having a strange problem with my keyboard and mouse on start up.

My keyboard is a Corsair K70 RGB Gaming keyboard and my mouse is a Corsair M65 RGB. Both are on the latest firmware and drivers. All drivers and software are up to date.

On cold boot my keyboard and/or mouse aren't always picked up and need me to take out the USB at the back of the computer and reinsert them - then they work without issue. I've tried different USB ports on the motherboard - it's a x570 Taichi. I used to have this problem with my mouse specifically on my old motherboard.

Sometimes with the keyboard the USB lights are on but the keyboard isn't working (its two plugs 1 powers the keyboard and one the RGB lights).

Does anyone have any advice?

Try uninstalling the software and drivers then re-installing.

Then uninstall any old legacy keyboard or mice software maybe.

I was running a K-70 lux, but changed to a Steelseries, I was already using the Steelseries engine for headphines and mouse.
Worked then threw a hissy fit on reboot.

Uninstalling and reinstalling seems to have sorted it.

OK so if anyone is reading this in the future - I seemed to have fixed the problem by adjusting the BIOS switch on the back of the keyboard to "2".
