Weird Keyboard On Acer 5720

What's good people?

My girlfriend recently bought an Acer 5720, one of the newer Gemstone models, now it works and all (Vista really is load of crap o.O), however on the keyboard, her 'O' (the one next to 'P' doesn't work. It takes a great deal of force to make it register and it's bugging us both as this laptop should be 'new' therefore have no problems.

So just wondering any suggestions? I'm considering openning it up and checking the keyboard cabling, what do you guys think?
 
probably not cabling, but maybe the pressure sensor has been broken so it sits lower than the rest - therefore needing more force.

either way, i'd not open it up, but take it back to the shop and get a new one. not worth opening it then losing the warranty and risk breaking the laptop.
 
Oh my, she's not going to like this, any idea on how long this could take as she really needs it for her coursework and what not.
