I've just got a laptop here to sort out and I'm having some difficulty with it. The left mouse click doesn't work in Windows Vista. If you connect a mouse you can left click no problem. I initially thought it was a glitch/virus or something similar. To test out the theory I booted to a live disc of Ubuntu 11.4. This would have course eliminate any virus or Windows issue. However in Linux it wont left click on the trackpad or the mouse... tried two mice now. I also tried Ubuntu 9.10 to make sure it wasn't a glitch... same issue.
Back into Windows now and it clicks fine with the mouse, not trackpad however.
It's strange as tapping the trackpad, which is the equivalent of a left click doesn't work either, so it's not like the button is defective.
Any ideas, things to try?
