Hi all,

just checked my access log for an apache webserver I have at home and I have the following displayed:

[10/Dec/2006:10:36:43 +0000] "SEARCH /\x90\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9\xc9" 414 337 "-" "-"

the xc9s go on for about 6 scrolls down the page btw so Ive deleted them off here.

is this some script kiddie trying to hack me or just some random search.

thanks

ah right, thanks.

so nothing to worry about on a apache webserver.

cheers

If you want, you could probably hack together a script to block their IP (or I'd imagine there's something around that'll do it for you already), but other than that they aren't really a problem.
