Not medical!

I'm wondering if this is common or a 'thing' with a name I can investigate.

I get a lovely feeling when people do things for me (almost overwhelming), perhaps showing me how to do something, something done just for me unexpectedly, etc.

It feels really nice, aside from that I cant describe it. Although shortly after when I think back to the experience I can almost feel it again... but next day etc all is gone.

When I tried to do a Google search I keep getting links to depression and suicide, I guess I don't know what to call it!

Anybody else, or am I just an odd bod?

I used to experience something similar when I was younger, I'm not really sure when it went away. It was a sensation in my chest that occurred if somebody was helping to teach or show me how to do something. It was almost the opposite of anxiety.

Yep, I was the same and I also used to get it, oddly, when someone borrowed something of mine! o_0 I do still get it from time to time and the 'rush' is always at the top of a breath, just before I breathe out. It's probably a dopamine rush or something.

Interesting guys!

I guess that kinda describes it... ASMR, good to have a name of something I can look into also!

Thanks
No problem. I only actually found out about the name of it in the past year. It is interesting.

I get it sometimes when Indian call centres phone up - something to do with the tone and tempo of their patter I suspect. Also, got it massively playing Spate just a week or two ago.
