Having some minor boot issues, was wondering if you guys could help me pinpoint the cause, and possible solution.

If I shut down my new pc, but leave it on at the plug for a while, then turn it on again, the first time it doesnt seem to boot up. Screen shows as no input but there are lights on in the case. Fans dont seem to be running either. I turn it off with pc power button then back on and it boots just fine.

If I turn it off at the plug after shutdown, when I switch the plug on the power button lights up for a split second, and it boots fine.

Settings changed:

Fastboot off on windows 10
ErP Ready enabled (S4 + S5) in BIOS

I changed these because pc wasnt truly shutting down, lights on my keyboard remained on even after switching fastboot off with windows. (XMP is also enabled to allow ram to run at 3200MHz)

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

You could first try resetting/clear the coms and see if that fixes it - battery out for 10 mins and make sure the rig is unplugged from the wall is the best option imo - but I think the ASUS Hero has a coms reset button if I remember correctly.

Either way, it may well fix the issue.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the advice, theres a Clear CMOS button. From the manual:

"Press the button to clear the BIOS setup information only when the system hangs due to overclocking"

It's worth a try, all it does is sets the coms back to default - the state it should have been from new - sometime the coms gets corrupt and I've even seen a m/b ship with a corrupt coms - clearing it might well do the trick :)
