Weird Office 2007 Problem

Got a user who has just told me that when they have a word document open, new or otherwise, they click on "Save As" and the dialog box never appears. The document still seems to save is "Save" is clicked.

This happens in at least Word and Excel. I've completely uninstalled Office and reinstalled but the issue remains.

Any ideas?
 
I would uninstall again but this time run a cleanup tool before doing a reinstall. There's a batch file version available here which may be worth a look.
 
Yeah, I've done that. Used the MS cleanup util to remove it in the first place
but I'll try the batch file and see how I go
