Hello,
My PC came with a professionally overclocked setup, via a 1090t @ 4.0ghz on a crosshair iv formula. Oddly only recently I got some BSOD errors, and I received a message stating "overclocking failed" and it went back to the setup defaults.
I've tried my best (noob at OC) to learn and get a stable clock, I managed to achieve 4.0ghz at 1.375v, 1.4v. and had temps of 45C on load with a h50.
I think the issue could be RAM, as i still got BSOD during games, despite trying various voltages. The other issue is when the game initially loads there's a pause/jerkiness. I've also noticed some pauses for a second or two during some games, and when it actually pauses/stutters it's horrid, but when this doesn't occur I'm getting a smooth feeling 60fps. This is even happening at stock settings, with no oc.
I'm running a 5870, and 8GB of http://www.corsair.com/cmd8gx3m4a1333c7.html.
Not really sure what the issue is, I have tried to overclock it as good as I can, but even now I've reverted to the standard 3.2ghz clock, it's very jerky. When OC I disabled the turbo, cool and quiet and all the other things.
Any help would be appreciated, I'm guessing some-thing is wrong with my hardware
