Weird problem... graphics card won't fit?!

Hey,

Just replacing my 7900GT with an 8800GT, and the card physically won't fit into the slot?! There is nothing wrong with the connector or the card, and there are no physical obstructions that I can see. I have managed to fit a GTX260 in the slot absolutely fine, and the 7900GT fits back into the slot just fine.

But I've pushed the 8800GT *really* hard and it just won't go in wtf?! Any suggestions?

You mean it won't securely fit in, or do you mean it's too big for the slot?

Is it not maybe the bracket that is slightly bent at the bottom that will stop it from pushing in fully.

I've had a couple of things that i have had to bend the bracket slightly at the bottom

Sorry forgot to mention it fits fine into the bottom PCI-E slot, but not the top one?!
