I have what I think is quite a strange problem.
When I have my PC connected to my TV via Svideo I have diagonal interference lines across the screen.
I have tried my DVD player on the end of the cable instead of the PC and the picture is fine, no interference.
If I unplug the aerial from the back of my television (Panasonic TX28PS12C) then the interference lines become very very faint.
If I unplug everything from the television except the Svideo cable and also disconnect the digital coax cable that goes between my PC and Amp then I have different interference again. Some strong vertical lines (pin sharp & black) but not over the entire image.
I have come across and solved many problems my customers have but this issue is with my own kit and something I have not been able to figure out what is causing it.
The reason I suggest a ground problem is sometimes I do get a shock off of some of my kit but I haven't figured out exactly why and what I was touching at the time.
I will be pulling all of the kit apart over the coming week as I am redecorating the room so it would be nice to solve this problem at the same time.
Any advice appreciated.
