Weird problem with F1 2010

Hi, I just installed F1 2010 played it for a little while on max settings fine.

Then I decided to install a mod the 2011 one which worked fine at first but I noticed I was one of the max AA so I put it up but then the screen went black, I have tried uninstalling the Mod, Deleting my hardware config which worked at first but when I went back on it I turned my AA back to what it was before and then it happened again :confused: Now I am back where I started and deleted the hardware config isn't working now.
 
do you have post processing up full too ? i ask because my screen went blank when I tried to turn that up, so I need to have it off from now on with the mod.
 
I might of had I just put my preset to Ultra?

so it might have been that but why would it still do it after the mod has been installed?

Will post processing make the game look much worse?
 
I think post processing is just a fancy way of saying bloom effect lol. I turn it off, max AA everything else on Ultra/High. Give that a try.
 
New problem When I press start it just freezes but I can hear the sounds in the background like I am in the menus.

That's nuts! :( I don't understand how you are having so many problems, my only hitch was the post processing thing but that sorted itself as I hadn't saved the settings. Are you choosing a new tyre simulation or keeping the 2010 default for the mod ? I just kept default and installed the graphics mods. I honestly think you should start fresh and re-install the whole game. Start the game and choose a career. Exit. Install mod. Start game and then go to My F1 and start a new career. Those steps are what I did apart from installing the game of course.
 
Aye it is a bit of a pain but I don't see how else you are going to get it working dude :(

See if you look inside the mod folder, you can actually replace the files inside the game directory yourself rather than using that install tool. That way you can pick what element you want like only the cars or track lighting etc ...
 
This is what happens any chance you can talk screen shots of the your F1 Menu and The graphics menu so I can maybe get to it while the screen is black?

I haven't got the game but if you have why not copy and paste the contents over here so murray can put them in to his and then try it.

well im trying to help from a laptop tucked up in bed :p but I'm getting up now ;)
