Weird problem with GTX 480??!!

All right, my PNY GTX 480 wont work on certain motherboards but works fine in my X58 Asus P6T Deluxe V2.

For example wont work on

AMD motherboards
Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3

Will work on

Older Intel boards
Asus P6T Deluxe V2

Never seen such behavior before, when it doesnt work its just completly black screen, doesnt post or anything.

Any ideas?

Lots of boards can be problematic with certain GPUs. I have had a few Asrocks that didn't like the 5xxx Radeon cards until a firmware patch was installed.

Look for a bios update or even better report the problem to Asrock as they are usually very helpful and will look into / release a updated bios should you ask them to.

If the Asrock is PCIE 3 then put it into PCIE 2 'mode' or whatever the setting is called. I've heard that certain boards won't work with certain Nvidia cards should the board be running PCIE 3.
