Hi

I got a 320GB Seagate, which well I thought died, due to recent clicks, freezing and crashing now recently it had bein not even booting, with loads of random errors.

So today my dad gave me another 320gb which is his, it's brand new untill I RMA'd mine and it came back, so I thought ok, cool I'll install Windows XP now.. anyway I did that.. formatted, RAID drives, then it did the copying files and as it went for reboot I got this error which came up everytime no matter what, I tried formatting over & over. The error message is "Error Loading Operating System" so I took it out.. and I decided to give the drive which I thought died a go and I formatted it (It said the driver has nothing on it, when it had) so it installed perfectly fine :S

But they're the same errors I was getting on drive before, one of the errors anyway.

Anybody got a idea of what it means?

Thanks.

Have you flashed your BIOS lately? I think this can happen if the current BIOS does not support the disk type/capacity. Try upgrading to the latest BIOS or setting your existing BIOS to the default settings (there should be an option) and retry.

Nope, I also tried clearing the CMOS.

EDIT:

Okay, I just flashed my A8N-E to Rev. 1103 which is the latest on their site. I did it via DOS.

I'm hoping this will be ok.. because i'm lose otherwise.
