Hey,

I had some leads fitted today at my local computer shop. While i was there my computer was on with my desktop showing. However, when i came back home and plugged it into my Hanns.G 28inch the desktop does not show at all. I've tried other towers and they work fine on my monitor.

- I've tried removing the graphic card and putting it back in and that doesnt work

any other suggestions...

It was working fine until it went to that shop. I saw that the resolution was quite low on the monitor they were using, could that make a difference>

Can you tell if the system is loading up, ie hd activity, does the BIOS show on screen.

Double all components including power cables and cpu heatsink.

Have you got on board graphics you can try? If the monitor works fine on other computer's then it must be down to your system. Also, if they were altering things in the shop then maybe you should either take it back to the shop, or, if you know what you're doing then why don't you have a look inside and see if anything has become loose/disconnected. :)

I have no clue what i am doing, and i do not have any on board graphics.

In the shop they replaced a a twin power sata lead that was apart of the main power supply, not one of them extension types.

I feel that these guys do not know what they are doing, so i will try and sort this problem out myself thats what i am seeking some advice. I've looked inside the system and everything seems to be connected.

could just be that they had set the video output to some frequency/hz/resolution that your screen can't handle.

maybe try a new graphics card if you have a spare or go back to shop with your own monitor and make them sort it ;)

Check all the connections inside the case, it may be that a cable has come loose whilst you've been moving it around.

PK!
