Hey guys been having one of those problems I wish I didn't have.

A while back I sent of a GTX 470 of for RMA and got it back yesterday reason I sent it off was because I was getting no display but comp would pass post and I hear the Windows start up coming from the speakers. At the time I tried it in all the PCI-E ports and it didn't work but I tried a GTX 460 768mb i had in another system and it worked fine and the 470 at the time wouldn't work in the other system.

RMA was deemed not faulty I called them up and they said they honestly could not find any fault they booted it up 15 times using dual monitors and ran 2 hour benchmarks on each screen couldn't make out the other one but they said they ran the heaven benchmark on the other screen non stop for 2 hours.

So got the card back and put it in my comp and same problem before I sent it off no display so thought ffs tried it in the other system and its working and I ran furmark and running without a hitch, so I proceed to put the 460 into my system and now its doing the same thing my 470 was doing giving me no display but my old 8800GTS is working fine so now im really confused.com only thing I can think of is maybe my power supply is playing up and I have ordered one coming today cause even if it doesn't make a difference I can send it back via distance selling act.

Just wondering what you guys might think.

I would say it's either your power supplyy that just simply doesnt supply enough power due to some fault, or wost case scenario your mobo. Cannot think of anything else

well the power supply in question is a corsair HX750 and its falling apart lol the PCI-E modular sockets are bloody coming out of the thing as well. The PCI-E cables are so tight then when it came to try pulling them out its pulling the whole damn socket so I really do think the power supply has had its day I have been running it like a horse for 3 years anyway.

I think it has a 5 year warranty on it so if its the supply I will just send it off for a replacment to keep as a backup if the supply is at fault if its the mobo only bought it last october to replace my Gigabyte X58-UD5 since i wanted USB3 and Sata-III so I can send that of for RMA but would be a pain as no mobo = no system.
