Hi folks,
I have the following rig.....
Dell UltraSharp U3011 30" Widescreen LCD Monitor
Coolermaster Storm Tooper Case
Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z Motherboard
Intel Core i7-2700k CPU
2 X Gigbyte HD7970 3GB Graphics Cards in Crossfire
Corsair H100 Liquid CPU Cooler
AData S511 240Gb Solid State Drive
1TB SAMSUNG HD103SJ SpinPoint F3 SATA-II Hard Drive
2 x Star Tech SATA hot swop Caddies.
Samsung HD753LJ 750Gb Hard Disk
Pioneer BD-RW BDR206D Blu-ray Drive
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-219L Drive
16Gb RAM ( 4 X 4Gb RipJawsZ Quad Channel kit)
Seasonic Platinum 1000W Power Supply.
Everything was running fine up to a couple of days ago. My rig was left to download some files, the monitor had gone into standby mode. I went back in the room 1/2 hour later to hear the GPU fan/s running at high speed as if i'd been gaming, the room was like a sauna, as soon as the monitor became active the fan speed started to reduce.
I wondered if there was a graphics card problem, i removed both cards and checked them for dust, both cards very clean so i swopped them over incase the problem was GPU based, the problem is still there.
I uninstalled the AMD Catalyst 13.11 BETA 8 drivers (Used driver sweeper too) and installed 13.11 Beta 9 drivers, problem still there.
I've also found that i cannot get manual fan control to work in CCC, this used to work fine?
Any idea's folks?
BTW, i'm running Windows 7 64 bit.
