I downloaded Ati Tool to try and overclock my card but have run into a weird issue where it recognises core and memory speeds for the first time. The card is a ddr3 version and has default clocks of 600 on the core and 700 (1400) on the memory.
Now when I have used Ati Tool before it shows the memory for example as 700 and not the equivalent ddr rate of double. When I opened Ati Tool it shows the memory as 1400. I just assumed that now it shows ddr rate and thought nothing of it.
When I rebooted the pc next time as soon as Ati Tool loaded and booted up the default profile it would crash, sometimes giving a vpu recover and sometimes not. I uninstalled Ati Tool and all was well again. I thought I would download gpuz and see what it says... as you can see it says the default clock is 700 but it is running at 1400.
Does anyone know why its mis-reporting the speeds like this and should I just manually set it to 600/700 in Ati Tool before I try and overclock it?
