Weird PSU Noise

Searched forums and didn't see anyone else with this bizarre issue

.. so posting.

Lately my PSU (In Sig) has been making a weird humming noise. It starts whenever it's switched on for a few secs, stops, then starts again, repeatedly..

Definitely originates from the PSU because if I press against it, it lowers the noise but that doesn't stop it as I can still feel it vibrate along with the slight noise.

Any ideas?

Best case scenario would be the mounting screws worked lose, have you tried nipping them up?

as above, just tighten them up a bit

make sure no cables have worked there way under the fan blades too

Check the screws and fans are mounted tight, also make sure there are no cables inside the PSU that could catch on the fan blades. To me it does sound like 1 of the fans is either loose, dirty or on the way out.

Ok thanks for the suggestions, will try those now.

Already tightened the screws on the back though.
