weird question

Hi all, weird question for you all. I have a bird box camera that I want to record video footage from and store it. Does anybody out there have any idea how footage is stored while recording without having a computer running 24/7? I want it stored digitally (not via a video recorder and tape). Is there something available that will do the job? I have no idea ??

Some can record to SD cards, a NAS unit will odd also work for you. Alternatively build a small server :-)

don't know what a nas is .. a small server ?? any brand names spring to mind ?? model names perhaps ... I have literally no idea

What camera are you planning on using? Perhaps something with a built in SD card would be easier? Get yourself two cards, than swap it over every day for example?

Looks like you'll need a DVR designed for CCTV cameras, or a capture card in a PC/microserver.
Do you realise the camera is NTSC only?
