Hey everyone,
I'm having a bit of trouble with my new AVR.
I've hooked up my Mezzo 2's and 5 to it (real pain in the ass, stupid twisty knob things..), put my xbox/playstation/wii/cable into it, and bought a new stand to put it all on
Unfortunatly, there are two problems though.
The image the AVR sends the TV is apparently 1080p, and the tv can display 1080p apparently (Sharp Aquos 46" LC 46XD1E), but for some reason the image sent to the TV is shifted to the right a bit. The whole image is there, but it's just not wide enough.
Even when i do 'width fit' on the AVR, it doesn't go up to the left edge, there's always ablack bar there (unless i do 2x zoom, inwhich case it it goes up to the edge, but goes over on the right.)
In other words, it's almost as if the AVR's definition of 1080p has a smaller width that the tv's understanding of 1080p.
Furthermore, because i've connected the AVR to the tv with a single HDMI cable, the tv won't let me change anysettings, such as moving it around, or streaching it.
Second issues is warming the speakers in.
The Mezzo pamphlet says that you should wire one speaker out of phase, point the speakers at each other, and play muze out of them for 36 hours.
It doesn't say what music, how loud, and why you should do this... but meh :/
Problem for me is, my speakers are hooked up to my telly, and my flatmates can't go for 36h without watching tv :/
So we've already had the speakers running for a few hours already - is it too late to properly break them in? Will it make any difference anyway?
Cheers!
