Weird shadow appeared on monitor

got a shadow thats appeared on my monitor its a hp lp2475w...here is a image of the shadow has anyone go a idea...and before you say yes i have tried to clean lol

I'm interested to hear the answer to this. I have exactly the same effect on my TV and it has been annoying me for months. I'd love to know what causes it.

Assume you are outside the warranty period?

i am not sure....i cant find receipt i bought of overclockers but its not in my history...maybe they have more history if i phone them up ?

Give them a call tomorrow. Only recent online orders appear under your account, anything placed by phone or placed some time ago does not show up.

thanks ive checked that no details can be found....but the manufacture date was April 2009 ...i think i got it around june so ill phone overclockers tomorrow thanks for the heads up

ok quick update ive turned it on this morning and its not there ....must be when it gets warm or something...July 2009 i bought it o just in warranty lol

Spoke to hp this morning getting a replacement tomorrow....cant ask for no better service....derv thanks for the link helped me out....although i phoned they never had the receipt on file......worked out why found it on one off my other accounts and they never even asked for it when i phone up .....lol

Glad you got it sorted mate. This is proof that spending the extra on a good brand monitor pays off when warranty is needed!

exactly i though it was out of warranty until i seen the 3yrs warranty advertised now ...to get a decent monitor again i would have needed to spend over 400 again...saying that i do fancy a led one ....might invest in one over the next year and sell this on.....only thing is i have mine on the wall and have lost the stand lol well think its in the local tip...

I had exactly the same on my lp2475w, it took 2 goes to get it replaced, but i never looked back after it was

omg my old monitor was all over the place this new one under warranty the colours are excellent....must be that i got used to it ...hats of to HP for quick service
Even the usb ports work on this one lol
