Weird sound issue

Put this here as i think its more a software thing than a sound problem

Have a 5.1 system on the PC and in winamp everything works fine, all 5 speakers and sub are fine

In games and from the internet ie youtube only the front 2 speakers work :confused:

obviously i dont mind on youtube but if im playing games id prefer to have all of them working

anyone have any ideas??

Are you using s/pdif as your output? If so, thats why.

had a look in the properties, but it's not ticked

So you are using an analogue out? The three jack plugs? If so, I cant see a good reason for this other than the games are not set-up for 5.1? Do you play the same games off line and still get the issue?

only tried it with 1 game, but thats just an online game, ive been playing medal of honor for a while and the sounds fine

and yeah im using the 3 analogue out jacks
