Weird steam problem

when i try and download one of my games in steam the download sometimes starts then starts downloading and get to a certain % then it stops and just says download starting? i have tryed to pause and unpause to refresh which wont work and when i double click on it the game download will start from 0% again any ideas why this is happening please

Delete the client registry blob file from the steam folder and then restart steam

goto into your C:\Program Files\Steam folder and delete the file I mentioned in my previous post then restart steam.

Insure Steam is not running when you do this

i will, im not going to try it just yet as im downloading 2 games now and so far its been ok for the first time tonight, i will post back and let you know what happens

I had this problem the other week though in the end it just seemed to sort itself out, luckily.

when it resets to 0%, its only the counter resetting, so if you download 20%, then it resets, the remaining 80% is split back up into a new 100% - its kinda buggy but alteast you arent redownloading anything
