hello. ive been noticing recently that all of the games i play on my pc have this odd stuttering, but when i read the FPS i get at least 60. i was wondering what could cause this, and should i change some of the settings with my system in the catalyst control, or whether that would effect anything. ive also noticed some odd issues like shadows being glitched, for example in gta 4 in the far far distance, buildings flash black, like a cover of shadow. a similar issue with the mountains in skyrim aswell. ive never had a BSOD, or a system crash but i have had the odd game crash now and then. i was wondering if there was anything i could do to fix my issues, as they are starting to get on my nerves. thanks a lot!

how much ram are you running? id want to go for some 1600mhz

if 4gb and 32bit windows it will stutter slightly in certain games

id try with 1600mhz first, thats all I can think of that's causing the stuttering

gta 4 isn't verywell coded either,it does stutter from time to time

a mild overclock on the cpu would help you too,no point in trying to oc your existing ram, they wont oc well

it could be drivers,or down to 1333mhz pc memory or running stock cpu/gpu clocks idk

you can overclock your gpu aswell in ccc/overdrive,move the sliders for the core and memory a little?

im only guessing at pc memory but imo 1333mhz is a bit limiting, and yeah that memory would be ok

yeah i was looking to replace my RAM anyway, as im pretty sure one of the sticks is defective, it failed a lot of tests on memtest so, im sure thats causing my issues.
