On the wagon, sorta
Ok today i got my Asus P5Q-E from the members market, stuck my Q9450 in the socket and set about overclocking, Stock Vid of the chip is 1.1, ive managed to get it to 3.5Ghz at 1.128v, memory is now the limiting factor but this isnt related to the issue at hand. Temps are idle at 25c and load is around 45c in prim95, that is for 2 of the cores at least; The other 2 cores idle at 49, load at 49 until and only if the other 2 cores rise above 49 if i overclock any further. If the cores that idle low rise to say 60 then the two other cores will rise to 60, other wise they just sit at 49 constantly.

Im stump,d tried tightening the cooler and its the same, i expected the cores to vary at least with me tightening the cooler down, im using core temp and speed fan to get results and they are both doing exactly the same give or take a degree or 2 on either. Any ideas?

Sounds like dodgy sensors, My E8600 would only increase when the cpu is overclocked.
At stock the sensors would stay the same whether load or idle.
