Weird thing with my PS3.

Not had my PS3 on in a while now, today went downstairs to update it all and play some new games i got. But after switching on i noticed that the writing that was in white beside/behind it had the same letter in a different colour. Is this a problem with my HDMI cable or TV, or supposed to be like this? As it doesn't look very good at all.

I'll try get some pics to show you what i mean. Ignore stupid title aswell...Just noticed what i've typed.

Sounds like ghosting, it's either gonna be a cheap cable, wrong resolution or possibly just your TV on the way out (if it never happened before).

Never done it before, and it's not been used for a while.

did you say you updated the firmware immediately before? if so it's more likely to be something in the settings.

I'm in the process of doing it just now, so it happened using previous settings where it was fine. So possibly my TV? Will see how it is after i've updated.

Sounds like interference. Try unpluggingeverything at the back of your tv apart form the HDMI cables for PS3 and work your way up. This is where good leads come in handy since they are less liekly to have these problems. Obviously tv makes a difference too.
